Dear Osher Marin JCC Community,

I want to take this opportunity to invite you back to the 2nd annual 2013 Sukkot Harvest Festival taking place this Sunday, September 22, 2013 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Osher Marin JCC.  Come and celebrate the seasonal, local and organic fall harvest and experience the freshest produce and products that our local organic farmers can offer.

I will be sending you a list of available produce and products in the days to come and I have enclosed some information about the Sukkot Harvest Festival activities and events below.

SUKKOT HARVEST FESTIVAL

OUTDOOR COURTYARD

• Purchase lunch at Miller's East Coast Deli
• Shop for local, organic produce at the Marin Community Farm Stand
• Form seed balls with Camp Newman
• Do the lulav & etrog shake with Congregations Kol Shofar & Rodef Sholom

KURLAND LOUNGE & ATRIUM

• Hear the buzz on bees with Marshall's Farm
• Craft folk art flowers and paper cuts with Be'chol Lashon
• Learn about food advocacy from Interfaith Sustainable Food Collaborative
• Decorate tzedakah "homes" with Osher Marin JCC Preschool
• Taste treats & meet the authors of
  Nosh on This-Gluten-Free Baking Classics from a Jewish American Kitchen
  
• Paint pots & spin the wellness wheel with LIFT Levántate
• Make paper doll sukkah
  ushpezin (guests) with InterfaithFamily

• Meet & learn how to raise chicks with Mill Valley Chickens
• Read Sukkot stories & make sukkah crafts with PJ Library
• Create corn husk dolls & get your face painted with JCC Kidcare

LOBBY

• View a sukkah made from homeless signs and meet the designer at 1pm! Designed by Rael San Fratello Architects
• Make sukkah lanterns & paper chains and learn to make gift baskets for homeless and  newly housed families with Adopt a Family
• Embellish a grocery bag for an at-home Scavenger Hunt for Ritter Center
• Decorate tray liners for St. Vincent de Paul Society's Dining Room
• Adorn gingerbread sukkah "guests" & learn what items are needed for the JFCS Food Pantry
• Pick up a toolkit on how to help our community's homeless by JCRC
